ABS-CBN has recently released its response following reports made about its reporter Doris Bigornia, who had allegedly behaved rudely towards another member of the media.
According to PEP News, the Kapamilya network sent it response to various media agencies, saying, “ABS-CBN News is investigating the incident involving journalist Doris Bigornia that was the subject of an open letter/complaint by a GMA reporter.
“Bigornia has given her side of the story and we are now evaluating the claims and counter-claims of the two reporters.
“We have also reached out to the GMA reporter to discuss the issue. As we continue to investigate, we assure the public of our commitment to uphold the provisions of our Ethics and Standards Manual.
The issue was first disclosed to the public via Facebook by GMA reporter from Davao, John Paul Sarsuelo Seniel, who claimed that Bigornia threatened to hit his crew, DMNG Engineer Al Lim Ramz, while he was doing a live broadcast for GMA’s 24 Oras Southern Mindanao.
Seniel stated that upon being asked to excuse herself from blocking their camera, she instead scolded Ramz and asked him if he knew who she was.
“I have heard a lot of negative things about you, and now I fully witnessed a glimpse of your character. But I thank you for the opportunity of testing our character in the midst of a live report, I was not distracted. We stood with good character and we delivered well,” he added.
