Former Biliran Representative and Clean election advocate Atty. Glenn Chong decided to walk out in the middle of the second Senate hearing on the alleged election fraud happened under Commission and Elections and Smartmatic because he feels that the committee doesn’t really want him to speak.
In a video posted by Patricia Laurel, it showed that Glenn Chong is trying to raise his hand to express his willingness to speak, however, when the committee rejected his request, he stood up from his seat and left the chamber.
“Nakita niyo hindi tayo pinagsasalita? Kanina pa ako taas ng taas ng kamay ko,” Chong said in the video.
He said that only Senate President Tito Sotto who left earlier than him during the hearing gave him the chance to speak. After that Chair of the joint congressional oversight committee on the automated elections system, Senator Koko Pimentel is the one who left until the probe ended.
“Kung hindi kay Tito Sen, hindi ako tatawagin,” he said.
Because of too much disappointment, Chong urged his followers not to vote to the Senators who allegedly wanted to silence the people that trying to expose the anomalies in automated elections.
He also expected that the Committee handled the probe wanted the election in 2019 to still be handled by Smartmatic despite the controversies of the said electronic voting company.
Chong also said that he’s not afraid of the treats from Liberal Party, saying that he appeared during the second Senate probe, but the people who grilled him in the first hearing didn’t appear today.
“Sabi ng LP babalatan daw ako ng buhay? Eh asan sila, ako nandito sila wala?” Chong said.
“Pinakita ko sa inyo na wala akong takot, buong tapang pumuta ako dito kahit na sinabi nila na babalatan nila ako ng buhay,” he added.
He said that he noticed that the committee only wanted the COMELEC and Smartmatic to speak.
“Hindi nila ako pinag sasalita, gusto niyo yan? Kaya nag walk out na ko,” he said.
Chong also urged the people to spread his message on social media.
“Ipakalat natin ito sa tao, para malaman nila na ang kapangyarihan ay nasa kamay natin, wala sa kanila” he said.
