rulate rc Senator Manny Pacquiao on Monday defended anew his decision to pay for the Las Vegas trip of Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
In an interview with reporters, Pacquiao said other “corrupt” activities should be investigated. He particularly cited the management of Yolanda rehabilitation funds.
The Office of the Ombudsman earlier ordered a probe on Dela Rosa for possible violation of Presidential Decree 46, which makes it punishable for public officials and employees to receive gifts on any occasion, and Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees over alleged travel perks courtesy of Pacquiao.
