OFW or Overseas Filipino Workers are Filipinos who worked abroad to provide for their family back in the Philippines. Typically, OFWs send money through money remittance centers in other countries and it’s an easy and immediate way of sending money to their loved ones back home.
But recently, a video of an OFW who sent an emergency money to his family in the Philippines but ended up fighting with a teller in Hong Kong. What made it more disappointing is, she’s a Filipino too.
The Pinoy remitter was unsettled in sending money because of one family member who was in the hospital. After the transaction, the remitter found out that the money was sent to Cebuana Lhuillier instead to Palawan Express. The sender complained to the teller and started their hot argument.
The incident didn’t sit well with OFWs who send money through remittance centers and also share their bad experiences with them. They didn’t hold themselves but share their same experience and feelings.
